Please give us a brief overview of your current role & what you enjoy doing for your company? I am the owner & co- founder of Love & Pebble. My favorite part of the business is bringing in new and exciting ideas to the company and seeing the team turn that dream into reality.

What was your first job ever and what was the takeaway from that experience? I worked for my parent’s Chinese restaurant, we worked 14 hour days, 7 days a week, and holidays. It was a lot of work and we were all so exhausted. I learned that it is important to work hard but not at the expense of trading money for time. You can always make money, but you can never get back time.

Sugarcoat values cleanliness and is committed to elevating the industry’s standard level of sanitation and sterilization to provide clients with an unparalleled experience. Expect to fall in love when you step into Sugarcoat.

What’s your most memorable milestone and why? When we hit 100 positive 5 star reviews, it was a really big moment for us because it reassured us that what we were doing was right and our customers really believe and love our product as much as we do. To date, we have 300+ positive 5 star reviews!

What’s been the most significant contribution you’ve had for your company to get to the success you have today? Resonating with our customers, and really listening to what it is that they want. We engaged with our followers on social media, and we respond to every single interaction and make ourselves always accessible.

What process have you taken that has been the vehicle to the success of your professional journey? Remaining teachable and really putting myself out there, being open and transparent. Taking every interaction that I have with anyone I meet and making our brand a part of who I am. It has brought us so many opportunities even when we weren’t looking for it and we are so grateful.

Looking back, you’ve had mentors that have shifted the direction of your professional career, who have been the most memorable mentors that consistently pushed you and why? I think that everyone that I have met has impacted me in some sort of way whether big or small. It’s always a learning experience for me.

With your current role, what was it that inspired you to push harder & what are your strategies to achieve them? This is real! The life that I have dreamt is achievable. With hard work and dedication, I will get there! Know your why and wake up with a purpose!

How do you face challenges and how do you overcome them? First, I understand that the focus of control of any situation is within myself. I have the power to overcome challenges and it is no one but myself that can overcome them. I also understand that any failure in my business and life is something that I can learn from, essentially the growth of my success is really in those failures and challenges.

Gypsy Kitchen draws inspiration from the culinary riches of Spain - infused with Moroccan traditions from across the Gibraltar and Indian influences that travelled west along the same seas. Centuries of interplay between these food traditions and lands inspires our Iberian fusion plates.

What has been your rule of thumb in terms of arriving at resolutions that will work for the team? Focusing on our message.

If you were to mentor your younger self, what advice would you give? In my early twenties, I started a business that I did not whole heartedly believe in. My advice would be to go all in. Really believe in yourself, your business, and your message to the world.

In your personal experience, what is the fundamental key to success? Remain teachable, there is always something to learn or ways to better yourself.

What do you know now that you wish you knew then? Keep learning, be consistent and persistent, it’s all about the micro decisions you make that lead to your success.

What sets you on fire and keeps you motivated? Relationships and the people in my life.

What’s your hell yes moment? My hell yes moment occurs several times in our business when our customers reach out to us and tell us how our brand has helped their skin issues.

What’s one word that sums you up? Motivated

“Sole Seduction's intention is to positively embrace who we are as catalysts to our very own success & to collectively empower like-minded women who understand where they are in their personal & professional journey while championing & supporting causes that matter. Sole Seduction at Jimmy Choo is an exclusive program where a select group of female powerhouses joined forces to raise funds for Aflac CHOA benefiting Sickle Cell. Together, we celebrated and honored these driven professional women recognizing their contributions in their respective fields as catalysts to the success of their companies while giving back.” Maryan Aiken
